The Louisville Cardinals are a team in the NCAA. They compete in the Big East and preparing to join the ACC, but they previously played in C-USA and the Metro and as an independent for football. They get their name because the cardinal bird is the state bird of Kentucky. Their colors are red and black. They are located in Louisville, Kentucky.
