The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are a team in the NCAA. They will move to the Big Ten after competing in the Big East and previously in the Atlantic 10 and as an independent in football. The university hosted the first intercollegiate football game in 1869. Their colors are scarlet and white. They are located in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
